AD: Ring in Spring with Naturalizer
Spring is just around the corner!
We got a glimpse of it this past weekend here in Richmond - beautiful weather with blue skies and breezy air.
While I have no qualms with wearing black year round, there are times that you want a nice, light look - right down to your shoes.
To celebrate spring being on it’s way, I partnered with Naturalizer to highlight a pair of shoes from their latest collection. While all of the styles and colors were on trend and beautiful, I was naturally drawn to the neutral + practical of the bunch: the Blair boot in soft marble leather. I loved the shape of the boot and the softer color helps dial down the pointed toe and exposed zipper.
The marble leather looks more neutral online, but in real life has a light blush tint to it. Not being a pink girl, I was slightly unsure at first, but after pairing them with a few outfit options from my closet, I loved how I was able edge it up a bit.
I typically wear a size 6 for heels and a 7 in tennis shoes/flat shoes. I like my boots to be a bit bigger (I usually do a 7 or even 7.5) as I tend to always wear them with socks and like to be able to put thicker socks in them to accommodate different seasons. For these boots, I ordered a 6.5 and they fit perfectly with thinner no show socks. I could have taken a size 7, but since these are leather boots, I’m thinking they may stretch a bit and you may even see me wearing these straight through fall and winter!
As a brand, I LOVE Naturalizer - nearly all of my clients get at least one Naturalizer shoe - from pointed toe flats, to heels, to boots - on their personalized shopping lists because the brand is known for their comfort, high quality, and classic and timeless look. “Comfort” brands used to get a bad rap (and some still do!) but Naturalizer truly comes through with amazing shoes that are a great price point, good style, and won’t kill your feet. As someone who is on my feet a lot with clients or shopping, I LOVE a good shoe that I can rock all day long.
I rounded up a few of my favorites from the brand - shop them below!
PS - that black, pointed toe D'orsay style flat is on my personal to-buy list.
A note on shoe care: for ANY new shoe I get (but especially leather or suede), I always make sure to treat them with a water / weather proofing spray to make sure my investments last! I use the Kiwi brand and love it - it’s recommended that you spot test a tiny spot to make sure there is no discoloration before spraying your entire shoe. Be forewarned - when you spray, you WILL notice a distinct darkening from the spray, but that fades once it’s dry. I always do 2 coats and give 24 hours between each coat before wearing!
Thank you to Naturalizer for kindly sponsoring this post. All opinions are 100% honest & completely my own.
