Episode 19: How to Win the Mindset Battle

Hello! We’re back with the final installment of this month’s mini-sodes called Mindset Moments. We’ve been exploring the analogy of having a solid mindset similar to being well equipped with armor for battle.

For this week’s episode, we’re going to talk all about HOW TO WIN THE MINDSET BATTLE.

  1. Know you’re playing the long game. We’ve talked SO much about repetition in this series and it’s for a reason. It can take your brain a little while to rewire itself to your new mindset beliefs. And guess what? Once you’ve rewired one belief, a new one (that maybe you thought you conquered!) will come up. This is a LIFELONG journey. I started my personal development journey in 2016 and while it’s been 4 years, I’m only now getting through some of my older, core beliefs. 

  2. Decide to do what it takes. This means looking at, owning, and FIXING your shit. This means being CURIOUS about why you react the way you do. Why are you not seeing what you want in your life? Instead of beating yourself up, start to examine your patterns. And be committed to doing what it takes: that could be therapy, hypnotherapy, courses, reading, etc.  This may mean investing and spending money in your transformation and healing. Everyone’s path will be different. As you dive deeper into this, you may find alternative ways of healing you want to safely explore. You may do a self healing journey, but whatever it is, I can guarantee it will be worth it - even if it’s hard. Even if it means absolutely upending your life. 

  3. Bet on yourself. You have the answers inside your body. This may sound absolutely nuts, but if you’ve ever heard someone say, “Trust your gut.” or “You could feel the tension in the room.'' Those are two very real evidences of energy. We have been taught to bury our intuitions so far down - to act from our heads, not our heart. To trust and listen to the “wisdom” others and not our very own selves. 

To close out this month’s series, I want to invite you to download a worksheet I’ve created that will help you assign action to these lessons. I don’t want you to just LISTEN. I want you to DO. That is the ultimate way to win the mindset battle - it’s to put these things into action in your life. There is a difference between KNOWING things and LIVING by them. The first step is to just DO something.
